Founder

Founded by Bahraini art dealer Forat Haider, the gallery is committed to modern and contemporary art from the Arab world, with a particular emphasis on the often-overlooked artistic contributions from the Gulf.

Forat’s vision stems from a personal conviction: That the Gulf’s creative legacy (rich, complex, and deeply rooted) has been underestimated on the global stage for far too long.

The Gallery

Spanning a timeline from the 1950s to the present day, the gallery curates exhibitions that honor both pioneering and emerging artists, aiming to shed light on the stories, styles, and cultural movements that have shaped the region’s creative landscape.

At its core, the gallery believes that all Arab art deserves to be celebrated especially the works and artists the world may have forgotten. Through thoughtful curation and community engagement, it continues to challenge perceptions and bring the artistic journey of the Gulf to global audiences.
